Winner of the Best Poster Award in Lithuania

Voice of Children (VOC) received the Best Poster Award at the International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect (ISPCAN) International Congress 2025, held from 6 to 9 October 2025 in Vilnius, Lithuania. Mr. Raju Ghimire, Deputy Director of VOC, represented the organization at the global event, where he presented a poster focused on VOC’s dedication to the deinstitutionalization of children and the promotion of family and kinship-based care in Nepal. The poster received recognition for its innovative and sustainable approach to reintegrating children separated from their families. This honor highlighted VOC’s practical and evidence-based initiatives aimed at protecting children through family reintegration and enhancing family support systems.

Mr. Ghimire emphasized VOC’s comprehensive Ladder Approach and extensive experience in transitioning children from institutional care to family and community settings, emphasizing the critical importance of safe reintegration, psychosocial support, and long-term family stability.

VOC’s comprehensive approach also highlighted the ongoing collaboration with the Family for Every Child Global Alliance, a global alliance of 56 local civil society organizations across 41 countries working to improve the lives of children and families. Through this partnership, VOC has significantly contributed to global advocacy, shared best practices, and engaged in international research and learning exchanges to improve care for children worldwide.

This award signifies international recognition of VOC’s leadership in child protection and its steadfast commitment to fostering stronger families and safer communities in Nepal. This milestone reinforces VOC’s mission to protect every child from neglect, abuse, and exploitation, ensuring that all children have the opportunity to grow up in a nurturing family environment.
