3 children from Voice of Children participated in a national event to mark the World Day Against Child Labour, alongside 19 other children from various organizations, to attend the event jointly organized by the National Child Protection Alliance (NCPA), Voice of Children, and other child protection organizations. The event was held at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar, where Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli underscored the nation’s commitment to ensuring that every child grows up in a safe, nurturing environment.

The Prime Minister emphasized that no child should be forced to live on the streets or be subjected to labor, highlighting the government’s ongoing efforts through national campaigns and policy reforms. “Children should always smile. It pains me to hear or see them suffer,” he expressed, reinforcing his dedication to ending child labor in Nepal.

During the program, the 19 children submitted a collective letter to the Prime Minister, sharing their personal experiences and calling for stronger measures to eliminate child labor. Among them, children from Voice of Children actively voiced their concerns and played a key role in the letter submission.
