Voice of Children (VOC) organized the Social Audit Program on 17th December 2019 at Local Development Training Academy, Jawalakhel. The program was conducted to disseminate the learning and achievements of VOC among its beneficiaries, target groups and concern stakeholders. The program was chaired by President of VOC, Mr. Puran Shakya where director of VOC, Mr. Krishna K. Thapa shared the brief introduction of organization and its ongoing projects, activities along the achievements received within the year. In his presentation, he insisted upon the collective action to combat against the children issues/problems of Nepal. He encouraged participants to share their opinions and suggestions without hesitation which will be a benchmark for the development of VOC’s future activities. Further, he explained about VOC’s best practice: Ladder Approach which is one of the achievements of VOC, invented with the long experience of VOC solely for the management of street children. He added that, since 2015 Nepal Government has developed the Street Children Management Guideline based on the Ladder Approach. After the sharing of the program activities, the financial part was shared by treasures of VOC, Mr. Deepak Khatri.
Distinguished guest from various organizations paid their best wishes to VOC for future endeavour in the protection of vulnerable children and shared their valuable inputs for the growth of the organization. They praised the Child Saving practice among children similarly put forward the concern about the education support for the vulnerable children. The director of VOC, Krishna Kumar Thapa responded all the queries of beneficiaries and assured to incorporate the respected feedback in the program of VOC. There was participation of 89 participants presented from government, non-government organization, including beneficiaries of VOC.
