This project aims to prevent children coming into the street by eliminating a very root cause. For that, it contributes to enhance capacities of vulnerable families by supporting them in health, education, legal, psychosocial guidance and economic development. Mostly it focuses to work with marginalized families and children in urban low rented or slum areas with the aim to improve their living condition. This project works for family development and child development.

The objectives of Prevention Project are: 

• To improve the capacity of the poorest and most vulnerable families living in the most deprived areas of Kathmandu to provide a protective environment to their children.
• To strengthen child protection system/mechanism in the community through enhancing the capacity of families to analyze their situation and taking measures to improve their psychological, health, education and economic situation.
