Voice of Children (VOC) was established in 2000 to rehabilitate the street children of Nepal by improving their living condition and, with them, in link with their family or community build stronger foundations for a better future. VOC’s priority is to work with the street children (and not only for them) in order to address the problems relevant to them: drugs abuse, harassment and other forms of violence and exploitation in the street, among which child sexual abuse is the most neglected in Nepal.
Objectives:
Appropriate responses given to the needs and concerns of the street children and their families in Kathmandu and in the rural areas of Nepal
Rebuild a relation between the street children and their families
Protect the street children from abuses by making them and society aware of their rights and helping them to refer their case for justice
Make Nepali society and foreign stakeholders aware on the problem of child sexual abuse, pedophilia and sex tourism
