Child Sexual Abuse is a hidden issue in Nepal. People hardly talk openly about matters relating to sex since it is considered a taboo in society. The problem is aggravated further because no one is ready to believe that even children, especially boys could be victims of sexual abuse. People in all levels of the society need to realize that child sexual abuse exists and is a growing problem in Nepal. However, lack of awareness on the issue is prevalent even among policy makers in Nepal. There is a grave need to make the policy and law makers aware about this phenomenon and the grave effects it has on the victims. Thus, it is necessary to initiate the awareness programs to make the public and concerned stakeholders aware by disseminating information and raising awareness among the children, communities, national and international communities, on the problems of child sexual abuse, pedophilia, sex tourism and other issues related to child rights. Thus, the following activities are proposed under the Awareness programs.
